At 88 years of age, Clint Eastwood is starring, directing and producing movies. That's two years of 90, last time we checked.

Judging by this first trailer for 'The Mule', it looks Clint Eastwood has lost absolutely none of his grit or screen presence and still knows how to direct the crap out of a movie. Based on the true-life story of Leo Sharp, a 90-year old World War II veteran who was a drug courier for the Sinaloa Cartel, Eastwood plays the titular mule whilst Bradley Cooper plays the DEA agent sent to track and arrest him.

Michael Pena, Dianne Wiest, Laurence Fishburne and Taissa Farmiga are also in there, but really, this is very much Eastwood's movie and - if rumours are to be believed - this is his last movie. Then again, everybody said that about 'Gran Torino' and then he went off and did 'Trouble With The Curve', an utterly forgettable sports drama where he played a baseball scout.

At any rate, 'The Mule' arrives in Irish cinemas on December 14th.
