Although there's been no official word or confirmation as of yet, it's been reported that Christian Bale is in early talks for a role in 'Thor: Love & Thunder'.

The sequel to 'Thor: Ragnarok' is due to ramp up production in the coming months for a November 2021 release date. Collider is reporting that Bale has entered negotiations with Marvel and Disney, but had no information on what role Bale would be playing.

Although Bale has starred in excellent movies like 'Ford v Ferrari', 'The Fighter', and 'The Big Short', he's most often recognised for his role as Bruce Wayne / Batman in Christopher Nolan's 'Dark Knight' trilogy, culminating with 2012's 'The Dark Knight Rises'.

'Thor: Love & Thunder' also sees the return of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, and what's more, it's understood her character will actually become Lady Thor in the movie. Plot details aside from this have been kept tightly secret, so it's quite possible that no details of Bale's character will come out until way later.

Currently, 'Thor: Love & Thunder' is due to begin filming in the summer, with a release date locked in for November 5th, 2021.
