Roscommon native Chris O' Dowd is currently somewhat of a hot property after the success of Bridesmaids, and is capitalising on it.

O' Dowd will be joined by British comedy actor Nick Frost, with the latter playing a former champion salsa dancer, who returns to the world of dance to reclaim his former glories in Cuban Fury. 'O Dowd will play the rival that ruined his career. Sounds kind of Blades of Glory silly, which is a very good thing with these two guys - you can almost tell the type of humour from the brief plot outline. No director is set yet, but the producers behind it are also behind the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost flicks Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.

O' Dowd has This is 40, his TV series Moone Boy and John Michael McDonough's follow up to The Guard, Calvary all in various stages of production.
