It was a big weekend at the North American box office, after last week saw every film fail to hit seven digits over the three day period. Top grosser is the well reviewed Coen Brothers effort, Burn After Reading, starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney, which grossed just under $20 million to lead the pack. In second spot was Righteous Kill, the highly anticipated reteaming of Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, which has been universally spanked by critics, but still drawn a decent audience of just over $16 million; mostly on account of the star power involved. Elsewhere, The Women had an unspectacular bow of $10 million, which was enough to give it fourth spot.
