There are bad ideas, and there are absolute whoppers; this is most definitely the latter. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is to once again make its way to the big screen, but this time without the innovative force of creator Joss Whedon.  The film is being planned as a remake of the 1992 original, which spawned the hugely popular series starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as the titular ass-whooping slayer, and is being developed by that film's director, Fran Rubel Kazui. According to Empire, they will be going in a new direction, which means that there will not be a gang of quippy supporting players, which is another damn shame. Let me reiterate once more, that I think this is an awful idea. We're sure Whedon will comment on this one soon...
