Now here's a bit of interesting news. The so-long-we've-almost-lost-interest saga of a third Ghostbusters has taken yet another turn.

Paul Feig, the director of comedy hit Bridesmaids and modern classic The US Office, has apparently taken an interest in directing a third Ghostbusters film. What's more, Feig wants an all-female cast for it.

The film, which has been in development hell for a number of years, was originally supposed to be directed by original helmer Ivan Reitman. However, he left and a number of possible options were discussed.

This Is The End's Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg were mentioned, 21 Jump Street's Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were another - however this looks like the best fit we've seen in some time.

What's more, making Ghostbusters 3 an all-female cast would be very cool.

Dream cast? Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Kristen Wiig, Julia-Louis Dreyfuss and Melissa McCarthy. And Maya Rudolph. And Lake Bell. And Kristen Schaal. And Jane Krakowski. Basically 30 Rock with some other people.
