Well the jury's out folks, the nominations are in and we can now see who's in the running for a golden gong come February. As for an Irish angle? Well that's always our main concern, right?

Nominated in the short film category is our very own Fodhla Cronin O'Reilly. If you have yet to see Head Over Heels, the story goes a little something like this: "The emotional distance between a long-married husband and wife has resulted in an unusual living arrangement."

What makes this even more special is that Head Over Heels is told through stop-motion animation; an impressive feat, you'll all agree.

And as for a little more info on a name you ought to get used to hearing? Fodhla is a graduate of the National Film and Television School where she completed an MA in Producing. She has also worked as a producer with London based company The Allotment on a wide variety of projects. Fodhla's first low-budget feature was Dead Cat, a contemporary take on relationships in London starring Sebastian Armesto (Anonymous dir. Roland Emmerich) and Tom Mison (One Day, Salmon Fishing In The Yemen).

Head Over Heels was one of three films she produced during her time at NFTS.

Fair play Fodhla, you certainly get our vote! Come ON THE OIRISH!
