Because we haven't been saturated enough with hobbits and elves and orcs and rings, Hollywood are dedicating even more screen time to JRR Tolkien, but this time the film will be about the man himself. Oh, that's ok then!

Empire report that the Professor John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (so that's why he called himself JRR!) biopic is in the works at the mo and is to follow his time at Oxford and in World War 1. The script is being written by Irish man David Gleeson (Cowboys and Angles) so of course this movie is going to be simply deadly.

Fans will be delighted of course to see the inspiration for Lord of the Rings emerge before their very eyes. His life may not be as unique as Bilbo Baggins's but it was fairly interesting all the same and could make for a good flick. So who to play him? Michael Fassbender would be a good choice. A very good choice indeed. And so we wait with baited breath.
