Well it's a good day for Bradley Cooper; not only he is the world's sexiest man, his latest film has also just scooped the top prize at the Toronto International Film Festival. Some people just get it all, eh? Following suit with the likes of Slumdog Millionaire and The King's Speech, their film - Silver Linings Playbook - which also stars the ass-kicking Jennifer Lawrence took home TIFF's most coveted accolade, the People's Choice Award.

Silver Linings Playbook is a drama based on a hugely popular novel of the same name by Matthew Quick and boasts as cracking pedigree both behind and in front of the camera. Cooper is a depressed writer who finds Lawrence's neighbour annoying, before a romance blossoms. While that sounds like quite the linear storyline, there's clearly more to this than boy meets girl. The trailer looks fantastically droll and David O'Russell is a fine director of actors. Remember his work with Wahlberg and Bale on The Fighter? As for Lawrence, we're struggling to imagine how she could ever be depicted as 'annoying' but we've no doubt she's up to the task.

Could it be an Oscar contender too? Only time will tell.
