We can imagine Brad Pitt in most roles; dude's a legend and it seems there's little he can't do (we'll just scratch his attempted Northern Irish accent in The Devil's Own off the list). He's so good he can even sell ladies' perfume, soon to appear in a new Chanel No.5 ad campaign, making him the first man to do so. But could he really play a scowser or a brummie? We're not so sure.

Angelina's beau has revealed that he'd love to take on a challenging British accent, not just the posh kind that just about everyone could manage. Taking part in an interview with director Guy Ritchie for Interview Magazine, Pitt said: "I've never done a proper Brit [accent]... I haven't really tried. It would have to be something specific... Irish is lovely for me. But Cockney? Too many people know it too well... You just have to get one misstep... That's an easy one to fall into caricature. Bad caricature."

Ritchie then suggested he could try "posh English", to which the Killing Them Softly star said: "No, not that either. I'd say I would have to go up north and do something like Scouse or Brummie."
