Marc Foster, the man behind the camera of the recent Bond success Quantum of Solace, has been approached by Paramount Pictures to direct World War Z, based on the excellent hit novel about a global zombie epidemic. The book was written by Max Brooks, son of Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft, and is written in a first-person, almost diary-like fashion and tells the story of a researcher for the U.N. Post-war Commission as he recounts stories and interviews survivors of the worldwide catastrophe. Michael Straczynski, who recently penned Clint Eastwood's The Changeling, has been tapped to write the screenplay and Brad Pitt's Plan B will produce.
