Darren Aronofsky will officially make the story of biblical figure, Noah, his next film after Oscar winner, Black Swan.

In a statement the talented helmer spewed, "Since I was a kid, I have been moved and inspired by the story of Noah and his family's journey. The imaginations of countless generations have sparked to this epic story of faith. It's my hope that I can present a window into Noah's passion and perseverance for the silver screen."
It sounds expensive - if he goes down a modern Ten Commandments route, that is.

Aronofsky was attached to his pal Hugh Jackman's Wolverine sequel, but had to pull out because of personal issues. Gladiator writer John Logan has rewritten the script for Noah.
