Uma Thurman and (still object of my affections) Jessica Biel have signed on to appear in the "soccer" comedy Playing the Field according to Darkhorizons.com, via Variety.
In the flick, Gerard Butler will play a former pro soccer player who finds himself dodging romantic advances from soccer moms after he agrees to coach his son's youth team in an attempt to bond with the boy. Biel will play Butler's ex-wife, while Thurman will play a fellow parent. Why the hell would you divorce Jessica Biel? I'm already not on board with this film.
Seven Pounds and The Pursuit of Happyness helmer Gabriele Muccino will be calling the shots. Hopefully in a less heavy-handed manner than previous occasions.
