The live-action remake of one of Disney's most beloved films is shaping up to be a star-studded affair, as the full cast has just been announced.

Beyonce was being touted for the role of Simba's friend Nala for several months, but she's now been confirmed for the film, which is set for release in 2019.

Also joining her in the Jon Favreau-directed film is Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen, who have also been confirmed as Timon and Pumbaa in what we have to admit is an inspired bit of casting.

We already knew that Donald Glover was playing Simba, but other new names on the casting sheet are Chiwitel Ejiofor as Scar, John Oliver as Zazu (!) and Eric Andre as Azizi, while James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Simba's dad, Mufasa (which makes us want to sob!)

Favreau said: "It is a director's dream to assemble a talented team like this to bring this classic story to life."

We have high hopes for this one, lads... don't mess it up. No pressure.
