Ben Affleck is looking to join the already star-heavy cast of The Great Gatsby, according to Deadline.com.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan are already attached to the F. Scott Fitzgerald adaptation to be directed by Baz Luhrmann. If Affleck can find time in his schedule, he'll play Tom Buchanan - who will be married to Mulligan's character. DiCaprio will play Jay Gatsby (who Robert Redford played in the 70s version) while Maguire will make a rare movie appearance in the Nick Carraway role.
Affleck's commitment is yet to be confirmed, as he's currently prepping his third film as a director, Argo. But according to sources he is trying to find room in his schedule to fit it in.
