In case it wasn't obvious that Barry Keoghan's career is on the up and up, the Dublin actor's next film - American Animals - is now headed to the prestigious Sundance Film Festival and is carrying huge buzz behind it.

Based on the true story of one of the most audacious art heists, Keoghan stars alongside Evan Peters as two disaffected youths who come up with a plan to steal priceless Audubon prints and rare books from Transylvania University’s special collections library, but - as you'd expect - the heist doesn't go according to plan.

The story was the basis of a Vanity Fair article, and it's been directed by Bart Layton - responsible for Locked Up Abroad and, more recently, the bewildering documentary The Imposter. Layton's work, up until now, has primarily been documentaries so the shift from narrative is going to be an interesting one, to say the least.

Here's the poster. The film premieres in Sundance next Friday.
