If you follow Barry Keoghan on Instagram, you'll notice that he's had a lot of wolf-themed content lately.
Keoghan is believed to be starring in 'Wolf', a new Screen Ireland-backed feature about a boy who believes he is a wolf.
He's already been doing some research for the role...
It's directed by Nathalie Biancheri, whose previous credits include 'Nocturnal' and documentary feature 'I Was Here'.
Funding for the project was announced by Screen Ireland yesterday. It will be a co-production between Irish company Feline Films and Polish company Lava Films.
According to Scannain, Keoghan will play a 17-year-old called Jacob, "who is trying to repress some unfathomable, lupine instincts. He is sent to the “Zoo” a clinic which specialises in curing this disorder – a little known but growing condition called species dysphoria in which people believe they are an animal trapped in a human body."
It's certainly keeping with a theme for Keoghan, as previous films of his include 'The Killing of a Sacred Deer' and 'American Animals'. He was most recently seen on the small screen in 'Chernobyl', while upcoming projects include film 'Green Knight' and TV series 'Y'.
