If you thought for a second that Avengers: Infinity War's insane run at the box office was over, you're in for a shock bigger than that ending.
Box office analysts are now predicting that Avengers: Infinity War is on track to become the fastest movie to surpass $1 billion at the global box office. Currently, the film is over $900 million after just nine days on release and will likely surpass the billion mark by the end of this weekend.
The Force Awakens previously made it past the billion mark in twelve days, so Infinity War would need to pass it today or tomorrow to beat its record. Whether or not Infinity War breaks this record or not remains to be seen, but it's already broken both the US and global records for opening weekends.
The film will become the 33rd film to reach the billion mark, and has already eclipsed all of the current DCEU entries so far on its second week of release.
Avengers: Infinity War is currently in cinemas across Ireland.
