Sarah Jessica Parker is in talks with Warner Bros. to star in her first post Sex and the City role. The project in question is The Ivy Chronicles, based on Karen Quinn's eponymous novel, the story of an NYC woman who loses her plush job, gets divorced and has to start afresh in less glam downtown apartment. The film is rumoured to be in the same vein as The Devil Wears Prada and The Nanny Diaries. Warner Bros. are keen to cast Parker in this role hot off the worldwide success of the Sex and The City movie which has so far earned over $300 million worldwide. Seeing as this is seemingly a "Carrie Bradshaw falls on hard times" movie, expect to see studios to attempt to capitalise on SATC's success and try and tempt Parker into more roles like this for the foreseeable future.
