However it might be a stroke of genius from the producers of the Golden Globes, as both actors have quite the loyal following.

Andy Samberg is well known as Detective Jake Peralta from 'Brooklyn Nine Nine'. Samberg first started off as being one of the three members of The Lonely Island, before securing a spot as a cast member on 'Saturday Night Live'. The comedy troupe's songwriting didn't stop there however, and they went on to create masterpieces such as 'I'm on a Boat' and 'Do the Creep'.

Sandra Oh is probably most well known for playing Doctor Christina Yang in 'Grey's Anatomy'. Although she's currently not in the medical series anymore, she's had success with 'Killing Eve' which will return with a second season in the new year.

Seth Myers hosted last year's show, while Jimmy Fallon was 2017's host, and Ricky Gervais in 2016. The only other double-act to host the Golden Globes were Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, who held onto the hosting rights for the three years perviously.

Fans of both Samberg and Oh have been sharing their thoughts on this new team-up for the Golden Globes in January, and it's been quite positive.

For you to visualise the pair on stage for the whole awards ceremony in January, here they are giving an award at The Emmys earlier this year.
