The Super Bowl doesn't mean a lot to us on this side of the Atlantic. However, it does result in us getting a whole heap of new movie trailers.
Among the new movie trailers to drop during Super Bowl 2019 were ones for Toy Story 4, Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel. With the Super Bowl being one of the most-watched events on TV, it makes perfect sense that movie studios use the time to debut trailers for upcoming blockbusters.
We've seen versions of most of these movie trailers before. Still, seeing all this new footage has us very excited.
The Big Game TV spot for Endgame sees our heroes looking more worried than ever.
Toy Story 4
Alongside its big game ad, Toy Story 4 also unveiled an official plot synopsis:
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw
After its full length trailer dropped on Friday, we got an additional minute more of footage of Hobbs & Shaw in its big game spot.
Alita: Battle Angel
There was also a Super Bowl commercial for Alita: Battle Angel, which hits Irish cinemas this week.
There's additionally a new trailer for Us, Jordan Peele's follow-up to hit horror Get Out.
Scary Stories to Tell In the Dark
There were four teeny tiny TV spots for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, the new film from Guillermo Del Toro.
Last but not least - and to shake off the horror you just saw - is a new trailer for the family friendly animation Wonder Park.
