The director of the excellent The Hills Have Eyes remake (and the not so excellent Mirrors) Alexandre Aja, has been set to direct The Contractor; once he completes work on the, currently in preproduction, Piranha 3D. According to Variety, the film is set "in a world where the U.S. government can no longer afford to fight wars and authorizes private contractors to send a band of elite soldiers on missions around the world." So, quite the action orientated bullet-fest by the sounds of it. Hey, Aja obviously wants to try his hand of something else, and all power to him for it. Again, I loved the balls he showed with his 'Hills' remake, but Mirrors was utter shite. No stars have yet been contacted about a role in the film.
