Joe Carnahan is a director I think with ability to really cement himself on the A-list. Narc, his sophomore directing effort is a stirring piece of work, and one of my favourite movies of the 00s. But whilst he puts the finishing touches to The A-Team movie, he has managed to yap to Cinematical about The Grey.

"There's a film that I wrote that I want to do called The Grey, which is about a group of pipeline workers in Alaska flying back into civilization after being remote for a number of months," he told the movie site. He then curiously added, "The 737 they're on goes down, and they begin to be hunted by a pack of rogue wolves. It's very much a man vs. nature adventure, existentialist kind of drama that I want to do. We're very, very close to it now." Jesus, that sounds almost shockingly original; someone give him the money to make it now.

Carnahan should be able to name his production after The A-Team hits in the summer. The reaction to the trailer on this site alone has been huge, and frankly, I think it looks deadly. Have a gander below if you haven't already seen it.
