Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has said that there are plans to introduce the young heroine of Ms. Marvel into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The latest Marvel movie to hit cinemas was the box office smash hit Avengers: Infinity War. Next, we’ll have Ant-Man and the Wasp, which hits cinemas on August 3rd, while Captain Marvel comes out before Avengers 4.

Marvel has been keeping its plans beyond Avengers 4 on the DL, but Feige was asked in a recent BBC interview if the studio had any plans for Ms. Marvel, a superhero inspired by Captain Marvel whose alter-ego is a young Muslim woman named Kamala Khan.

Feige said that plans for a movie involving the character are "definitely sort of in the works", adding: "We have plans for that once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world."

Captain Marvel, which is currently shooting, stars Brie Larson. The character acts as a mentor to Ms. Marvel, who is a Pakistani American teenager and the first Muslim to headline her own book in Marvel history.
