Although it's been endlessly argued over whether or not it's a Christmas movie - it is, but shut up about it - the film still does have to contend with the fact that it's completely dated in some parts.

Primarily, the realm of media and how the likes of Dick Thornburg would have covered the event today. Obviously, Twitter would have immediately played a part in the whole thing - which is why THR senior writer Ryan Parker decided to live-tweet Die Hard as if it was happening in the real world.

As in, what would Die Hard look like if it took place now with journalists live-tweeting the takeover of Nakatomi Plaza? As it turns out, pretty wild.
