Obviously, it goes without saying that you shouldn't read on unless you want to see Rogue One spoilers.

So, let's do our usual thing and wait patiently for people to leave.

And one more for good luck.

...

Still here? Great.

So, as you can imagine, getting closer and closer to the release date for Rogue One means actors are starting to forget themselves and the undeniably huge raft of confidentiality agreements they've signed.

Case in point is this one actor who let it slip that he'll appear - albeit in a small role - in Rogue One.

Still want to know? Last chance, now.

..

..

It's Jimmy Smits, who played Senator Bail Organa and was the adoptive father of Princess Leia. This guy, right here.

Smits let the news slip during a recent interview (that was put on YouTube and then swiftly deleted) and confirmed a long-held theory that Bail Organa would turn up in Rogue One. As you'll know, the film is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, which means that Alderaan - the planet destroyed in A New Hope - still exists and so to does Bail Organa.

Moreover, Bail Organa was a key leader in the burgeoning Rebellion alongside Mon Mothma - who we saw in the trailer. In other words, this doesn't feel like a cameo for the sake of it. It actually has some context to it.

The same goes for putting Darth Vader into it, it makes sense. The only question is whether or not Rogue One actually turns out to be good. Reports have surfaced online that Tony Gilroy has taken over the editing process for Rogue One with Gareth Edwards' "input", which is an interesting choice of words to say the least.

Everything we've seen so far about Rogue One has us hopeful that'll it work out.

However, when we look at the absolute mess that was made of Suicide Squad, you start to wonder.
