The TV Choice Awards took place at Landan's Dorchester last night, and the transition between pre and post award snapshots never ceases to amuse. The show's over, they've got the goodie bag; they're going home, now get the fak aaahta their way!

We have Denise Welch, before and after. Samia Smith, before and after. Holly Willoughby, before and after. Emmerdale's Sammy Winward and Lucy Pargeter, before and after after. There were no before shots of EastEnders's'sszz Gillian Wright and her onscreen daughter Lacey Turner beforehand, but one can assume they looked happier then than they do here.

Then there's Suzanne Shaw, before and after. Although she was cajoled into smiling by the ease of her Emmerdale cast mate (WENN don't have her name down, so I'll just call her Moira. Yeah, I could just Google to find out her name, but I'm a fierce busy sort). So there was Moira, happily grinning away (possibly because she wasn't snapped on her way in due to WENN not knowing who she is), invariably saying in her Scottish brogue, "Go wan Suzie, give them a wee smile." To which Shaw rustled up this drunken leer. "Och, nooo, a bright smile!" Et voila.

Obviously there were the exceptions, like Louis Spence. Such was his state of excitement when leaving that he discarded his goodie bag and set about fondling a photographer. Michelle Keegan also looked happy when leaving, no doubt tickled by the amount of additional attention she now garners from tracksuited Craig Gazey types since her character took up with Graham. Oh look, here comes another one. As for Karen Gillan, she looked miserable arriving and departing.

You could let your brain boggle itself as to how Kerry Katona got an invite, considering the only widely circulated TV programme she was in this year (courtesy of Channel 4) showcased what a diligent mother she is. But save yourself the hassle; it seems they let anyone attend who's been on TV at one time or another. Hello to you, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Gaynor Faye aaaaand Gillian 'lay-by relief' Taylforth. And, look, isn't that Tony, EastEnders' local paedophile of yore?

Other souls in attendence include Michelle Moane; the many faces of Jenny McAlpine (1, 2, and 3); Ruth Jones; William Roache; ET in a wig; The Ramsay's; EastEnder's Zsa Zsa looking presentable; Danielle Lineker; The Branning brothers; Corrie's Ryan Thomas and his Emmerdale doppleganger, Adam Thomas (they're brothers, wouldn't you know); Antony Cotton; Eamon Holmes and his long-suffering Sky News co-presenter; Kate Thornton (no, really, it's her); Angela "no comment" Griffin; Giles; John Barroman and his hubby; EastEnders' resident minority contigent; and a very enthusiastic Eric Pollard. His Val's probably needs a hand changing the sheets in the B&B. Oh, and Amanda Bleedin' Byram.
