Ladies who opted against turning up to last night's Raisa Gorbachev Gala (Raisa being the name of Mikhail Gorbachev's deceased wife, in case you thought it was a gala aimed at raising a member of the Gorbachev family) in a wedding dress include Trinny Woodall, Jemima Khan, Anna Friel, Lady Victoria Hervey (doing the gentry proud, as usual), Florence Brudenell-Bruce (who I never recall attending red carpet events before she was dumped by Prince Harry), Claire Forlani, Mariella Frostrup, Eva Herzigova, and Keisha Buchanan.
In saying that, however, we do have Rosario Dawson in white, but she jazzes her cut-and-shut dress with her (MAAAHOOSIVE) red shoes. Then there's Natalia Vodianova, who's been impregnated by a swan. Then again, she did turn up with Christian Louboutin on her arm, so she can do whatever the f*** she likes, like turn up to a gala event with her pants on display.
Also in attendance: Dougray Scott, Ben Kingsley, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kelly Hoppen, Heather Kerzner, Jeremy Clarkson, and Rhys Ifans.
