Penelope of the Cruz has sprung Javier Bardem's junior from her being - and that's about all we can say about that - apart from "congratulations, the pair of ya!"
These are unconfirmed reports, but because everyone else is reporting on it, we must too. The most alluring actress in existence was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles gave birth on Tuesday (25Jan11), reports Spanish newspaper El Pais. If the news is true, the baby was born on the same day father Javier received a Best Actor Academy Award nomination for his role in Biutiful.
Cruz's spokesperson revealed in September (10) that the star and Bardem were expecting their first child together in early 2011. The actress, who wed Bardem in an intimate ceremony (as in nobody knew they were doing it) in the Bahamas last July (10), held a baby shower at her Los Angeles home earlier this month (Jan11).
In short, they've not come across with the child's gender or a name, and sure why would they, it's not like it's anyone else's business, or like a little bundle of fleshy joy is demaning a moniker as of immediately.
It can take a while to choose the right name. For example, my sister had a few choices for her first born son. However, she was was so addled by the three day labour she was finding it hard to commit to a suitable one... it was only when one of the nurses in Holles Street bellowed "Andrew!", and the mite ceased crying for the first time since birth, the sister knew that particular name was a only goer...
UPDATED: It's a boy. Outlets are still giving them sh*t for not releasing a name...
