Over the weekend, California saw a host of celebs descend on one field to attend Coachella 2011. The line up was pretty damn good to be honest, if this festival was transported over this side of the Atlantic I would estimate the entire population would head along to it. Crowds saw the likes of The Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, Kanye West, Mumford & Sons, the Chemical Brothers, Arcade Fire performing....I could go on but you get the gist, stellar.
We're not here though to investigate the musical aspect, it's the A-listers that you wanna see, right? Lots of pretty faces went along with the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Katy Perry, Joshua Jackson and his girdlefriend Diane Kruger, Leonardo DiCaprio who stayed under his cap, Jeff Goldblum, a hippie/ Hawaiian looking Jack Osbourne, Scott Speedman, Whitney Port and Kate Bosworth, to mention a few.
The only news that surfaced was of Sir Paul McCartney and Usher bopping away at DJ Afrojack's set. Sir Paul swung by the festival for some chill out time and possibly a few drinks, sure it would have been rude not too. As the DJ's set got into full swing, the big screen behind him changed from showing a pretty cool light display to McCartney and Usher getting 'down with the music'. It's actually like seeing your Dad dancing to Eminem, very cringe worthy. According to The Sun, a source said "Macca popped up in Afrojack's set and was having it on stage behind the DJ booth, Nancy (the wife) was standing next to him like a typical house DJ's girl. I think a lot of the ravers thought they were seeing things - when word spread around the site, everyone thought it was a wind-up." Of course, I dug it out for you all to see but, you only have to watch up until 1:20, as there's nowt of interest on it after that.
In other festival news, The Sun also reports that (allegedly) Paris Hilton and Kate Bosworth had a little disagreement when Hilton jumped the bar queue. Once again, there was someone only too happy to spill the gory details. A source said "It was vicious, Kate was furious when Paris tried to get to the front. Both of them needed to cool off - but that's not that easy in the desert." You may be the heir to millions Paris but you can't be skipping queue's,imagine if she tried doing that at Oxegen.
