Will Smith once again brings out his comedic chops in his latest Youtube video, but he also reveals a vulnerable side we’re not used to seeing from the musician turned actor.

Smith opens the video by revealing something that few people know about. He has a tremendous fear of the ocean that has haunted him his whole life.

Will describes the sea as “the ultimate woman. She is beautiful and she will nourish you, but she will tear you to shreds.” He even reveals that he hyperventilated when he attempted to go snorkelling in the past.

As part of his new series ‘The Bucket List’, which sees him trying out stuff before turning 50 later in the year, Will decided it was time to face his biggest fear head on. He travels to Lizard Island off Australia to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef – with some fun and messing around too.

His scuba diving team brings him out to sea in the middle of a storm and attracts the sharks to the area they're swimming in, so if there was ever the ultimate way to conquer your fear of the ocean, this would be it. As Will summarises, "the question isn't can you handle the situation. The question is can you handle your mind. Can you manage the thoughts and the emotions that are trying to poison your progress?"

Check it out and trust us, watching the full thing is definitely worth it.
