Fair play to Stephen Colbert who, despite having never met Brand before, met his tangent-chasing madness and managed to not only react and engage with it but also managed to form a functional interview out of their conversation.
If you're wondering why you're seeing more of Russell Brand lately, it's because he has a new book out that he's even traveling to the US to promote, making his first appearance on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' last night and doing his best Russell Brand rambling comedy in the process.
Colbert however had no problems keeping up with him in an interview that is exhausting to watch let alone engage in as it swings from the topics of death, the universe and philosophy to addiction and Donald Trump.
Somehow, despite being a rollercoaster ride through Brand's thought processes, this interview is actually enjoyable. But maybe steel yourself for brain-spin first.
