Donald Glover has already achieved cult hero worship status thanks to his role in Community but the next two years could see him catapulted to superstardom as he's set to appear in not one but two of the biggest franchises in Hollywood.

Next summer he'll be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an as yet unspecified role for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Then in 2018, he'll take on the role of Lando Calrissian in the Han Solo spin off movie.

He joined Ellen to talk about landing the dream role in Star Wars and his new FX show, Atlanta which has been generating a lot of critical buzz.

Glover explained how his family are huge Star Wars fans to the point that the first thing his mother said to him upon learning the news was "don't mess it up"

As for Atlanta, Glover explained his creative vision for the show:  "I just wanted to make Twin Peaks with rappers."

If that doesn't sell it to you, nothing will.
