Glee star Cory Monteith, who was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver, Canada on Saturday, died from a 'mixed drug toxicity involving heroin and alcohol', reported the coroners office dealing with the case earlier today.
'It should be noted that at this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a most-tragic accident' read a news release issued by the BC Coroners Service. Police earlier ruled out foul play, having deemed the death not to be suspicious. His family have been informed and the coroners office requested privacy on their behalf as they deal with their loss.
Monteith had addiction problems earlier in his life, but recovered and turned his life around before making his big break on the smash hit TV show. Monteith also voluntarily checked into rehab earlier this year to deal with substance issues.
