Managing relations with the American public can be a difficult task, but there's one surefire way to get them all thinking the same way: tell them you hate America.
You don't have to directly address the entire public though, since in this day and age, you're always being recorded by someone, and in this case, Ariana Grande was being filmed by CCTV at a Wolfee Donuts in California, where she went about licking a tray of donuts that were intended for human consumption.
It didn't stop there either, as she was pretty rude to the staff too, and said the fateful phrase that the American public will never, ever forgive: "I hate America". The footage comes courtesy of TMZ, where you can see her get pretty snotty with the worker at the donut store, who comes out with a fresh tray of donuts, only to have Grande retort "What the f**k is that? I hate Americans. I hate America".
You know who doesn't hate America? Most of the people who buy Ariana's records and go to her concerts probably.

Now we're not saying that in order to make up for this that she should play a bangin' electric guitar solo accompanied by an eagle on top of Mount Rushmore, but it's a start anyway. For now, let's all pause for the national anthem.
