Girls Aloud have barely broken up and Sarah Harding is already in trouble. Looks like she'll be needing some of the girls to stand by her and give her a lift everywhere for the foreseeable after she was hit with a six month driving ban and fines following her arrest for driving while on the phone and not stopping for police earlier this month.
After pleading guilty to the charge of driving while on the phone in court, Harding has to pay a £500 fine, a £20 'victim surcharge' and £85 in prosecution costs. She got off on the not stopping for police because apparently it hadn't been safe to pull over right away. Sure Sarah. More like you were shitting your pants as you already had nine points on your licence from three separate speeding tickets going back as far as 2010.
Her lawyer argued that Sarah had gotten lost following a meeting and was on the phone trying to get directions (that's what Google Maps is for darling), and asked the court to deal with her as an exception as opposed to a 'normal person'. The judges response? 'Well, you are a normal person. I can see no reason why you shouldn't be disqualified.' Oh snap.
