Sandra Bullock reckons "no human being should Google one's self." Especially if said human being had to endure a rather messy break up with a certain motorcycling enthusiast.

That aside, the 49-year-old actress searched for herself on the internet to get an idea of what the general perception of her is, and found the results slightly jarring.

She told People.com: "I Googled myself and read the comments section, thinking I could get some tidbits of what people really think of me. No human being should ever read the comments sections or ever Google one's self at any time... Some things I was very well aware of. 'Sandra Bullock is over 40' came up a lot. I know that. 'Sandra Bullock's way past 40.' Yeah, I know that, too ... 'There's absolutely nothing special about her acting.' She's not particularly attractive, I can't stand her, she's mediocre. She's over 40'... And apparently Julia [Roberts} and I are in a dispute over George Clooney. We talked about this, right? It's shared custody and we're both fine with it."

Oscar winner Sandra - who suffered the aforementioned messy split from motorcycle customiser husband Jesse James in 2010 and has been single since - also couldn't help reading rumours about who she is dating.

She added: '[There were] lots and lots of comments about who I've dated. Some are true and some I'll never admit to. I was reminded I made out with Meryl Streep. Off-screen, not necessarily her choice. I kind of took her by surprise."

As well as the shocking things, Sandra also admitted she has been paid many compliments too.

She said: "Some commenters thought I had good hair and good teeth. And I made some young girls and some over 40 girls laugh with some chick flicks. I've had a pretty good life and a pretty good career." And that takes real skill considering she's apparently "not particularly attractive", "mediocre... over 40..."

Speaking of "over 40", I once made the mistake of pointing out that she was older than Ryan Reynolds. She started mooing. There's been a respect for her ever since.
