In an Instagram video, which has since been taken down, Richard Ashcroft has shed some light on what he says actually fell out of his pocket live on Soccer AM - a piece of rubbish.
Viewers of Soccer AM on Saturday morning noticed a "suspicious package" falling out of The Verve frontman's pocket and down his trousers as he sat down on the sofa, and Twitter was alight with speculation as to what it was.
After the show however, Ashcroft played it off as just being a bit of paper.
Ha 635k thousand people watched some paper fall out of my trousers ha😂 should have done this for my video 🔙🔛ðŸ”ÂÂ?®ï¸ÂÂ?🅰ï¸ÂÂ?✌ï¸ÂÂ? https://t.co/L0wHW36TOG pic.twitter.com/fSlvJRRqEx

Before long though, he had made an Instagram video which was a bit more heated to say the least. In the video, he labelled people "trolls" and warned "you're on thin ice". He added just one more thing by referring to himself as quite the sleuth, saying "in The Verve I was known as Columbo, so get your facts right."
It was a busy morning for Ashcroft, who also saved up some time for a not-so-surprising X-Factor-bashing. He told any budding musicians out there to "turn the telly off, get hold of your guitar, your keyboard, your drum machine, however you make music, and spend that hour when that show is on making your own stuff".
