Xander and Buffy don't really feature in Gossip columns as a rule, however, there seems to be a pattern emerging - not that we're expert conspiracy theorists, or anything.
When Nicholas Brendon got arrested in a hotel lobby last October, it was a few days after Sarah Michelle Gellar had wowed twitter with a new hairstyle. This time around, Nicholas Brendon's been arrested (after allegedly flipping a bed and trashing the room) just a few days after Sarah Michelle Gellar featured in a princess rap battle. Then again, it's obviously just a sorry coincidence.
According to CNN, the actor "arrested on a charge of criminal mischief and property damage in Tallahassee, Florida. The actor, who has a recurring role on the CBS show Criminal Minds, was in Tallahassee for a comic book convention."

The report adds that the actor was found in a "confused state". There was "overturned furniture, the phone torn off the wall and water flowing from the bathroom to the hallway."
Nicholas really needs to stay away from comic book conventions - and everything that comes with them. In saying that, he's still due to attend Dublin Comic Con this summer...
After his arrest last February (indeed, a similar incident happened in Fort Lauderdale, Florida last month, which obviously blows our tenuous conspiracy theory out of the proverbial), Brendon's rep released this statement:
"Nicholas' unfortunate incident in Fort Lauderdale has led to a reevaluation of his past, present and future choices... He's taking what happened very seriously and wants to improve upon the situation at hand. Nicholas suffers from an incredibly difficult disease that is misunderstood by those who have never been affected, but he's not using that as an excuse. His fans mean everything to him and his intentions to get healthy are sincere. He apologizes for his behavior and intends on making changes for the future."
