Natasha Richardson has died at the young age of 45. With her husband, two children and her mother by her side, she passed away during the night as a result of injuries sustained in a skiing accident at the weekend.
Since being transferred to Lenox Hill hospital in New York from Canada, her husband and family members have been by her side.
Liam Neeson's publicist confirmed the news by saying "Liam, his sons and the entire family are shocked.....they are profoundly grateful for the support love and prayers from everyone, and ask for privacy at this difficult time".
Through out the past few days reports were rife in the media that Natasha had suffered brain damage and that she was on life support, with no actual statement or confirmation from any party.We do know however that it was due to a head injury that she fell ill.
