Yesterday, the 70-year-old Rolling Stone released a statement via his official Facebook page regarding the death of L'Wren Scott, his partner of 13 years:
"I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves... She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me... I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her."
The fashion designer was found hanged in her NYC apartment on St. Patrick's Day. The Rolling Stones have since cancelled the start of their Australian tour in order for Mick to fly back to America. There as been an outpouring of support from the likes of Nicole Kidman and Anna Wintour since Scott's death.
