And we're meant to believe this.
Reports are streaming in today that Demi Moore's three daughters are reportedly considering taking a restraining order out against her because she won't stop banging on about Ashton.
Apparently the relationship between Tallulah, Rumer, Scout and Demi reached "breaking point" after a series of fights and they have cut off all contact with her.
A family source told RadarOnline: "Rumer, Scout and Tallulah are seriously considering tak-ing out a restraining order against Demi to stop her from contacting them. They made it clear to her weeks ago that they do not want to talk to her right now but she is still trying to contact them... Demi has been calling them incessantly and emailing them, leaving them tearful messages and begging them to call her and the girls are sick of it. It is a really drastic measure and not something they are considering lightly but they just feel like they want some peace and quiet."
A source previously told the website: 'Demi is beside herself over the situation. She hasn't spoken to Scout, Rumer or Tallulah for weeks now, they won't return any of her calls, emails or texts. She has returned to work and is trying to hold herself together, but this is a really tough time for Demi."
I bet it is, you clothe, feed, love and wipe arses for years and then when you want to have an incessant moan about your bastarding toyboy husband for a few months your daughters announce they're considering a restraining order against you.
Oh, sorry, the name of the film Demi's working on that they're trying to plug? It's called Very Good Girls and also stars Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen.
For this is clearly a plug conduit; as a legal expert once said: "You can’t get a restraining order against your mum when she’s trying to call you. If that were the case, many, many more people would all be in court."
