Jennifer Lawrence tops FHM's 100 Sexiest Women list, ahead of Rihanna and Tina off Corrie

Don't worry, Georgia Salpa is there. In fact, considering this incorporates women from all over the world, she's done very well coming in at number 25, ahead of the likes of Bar Rafaeli (66th), Sofia Vergara (52nd) and Kim Kardashian (38th).

As for other Irish lassies who made the grade, they include Laura Whitmore (57th) and, as mentioned yesterday, Nadia Forde (94th). Cheers for representing, ladies!

Now that we've dutifully addressed the Irish contingent, on to the stars of the show! Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence topped the British men's magazine's annual 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll. That's not bad going considering this is someone who reportedly puked on a flight of stairs in front of Miley Cyrus at Madonna's Oscar after-party. Despite this, JLaw swiped the crown from 2013 winner Mila Kunis, who has dropped to sixth place.

23-year-old Jennifer narrowly beat Michelle Keegan to the accolade (AKA Itan off Corrie. It's Tina but I call her 'Itan' cause, you know, she tans), who finished in second place once the thousands of readers' votes counted.

Speaking in the new issue of FHM magazine on sale now, the 26-year-old actress saying: "I'm totally taken aback by this, it really does mean a lot. Thank you so much to the readers of FHM and everyone who took the time and voted for me, I'm so flattered. I believe that being 'sexy' isn't wearing lots of heavy make-up (or fake tan?) or having the perfect hair or figure, it's about self-confidence, being comfortable with yourself, smiling and being happy!"

Rounding off the top five are Rihanna in third spot, fourth placed British/American model Emily Ratajkowski (AKA the lady who tottered around naked in Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines video) - and Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco in fifth.

Notable entries in the list of a hundred women include TV chef Nigella Lawson at number 21, Kate Moss at 42, Jennifer Aniston at 36 and supermodel Cara Delevingne at 54.
