They were married just over two years ago, but Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have announced that they are to split.
The pair met on the set of 2012 film Wanderlust, a rom-com also starring Paul Rudd, and married in a secret ceremony at their Bel Air home in August 2015.
A source said that the decision was 'lovingly' made at the end of last year, and although no reason was given for the split, they intended to continue their 'cherished friendship'.
In a joint statement, they said:
"We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.
"Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly."
"Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another."
The 49-year-old Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 - 2005, while this was 46-year-old Theroux's (who is a cousin of Louis Theroux) first marriage.
