The dresses shimmying up the Emmy red carpet last night (full list of Who Won What here in TV News) could be boxed off in the following categories:
Those who wore eyeball busting yellow (Jessica Lange had to wear sunglasses, the poor love): Julie Bowen, Hannah Simone, Claire Danes, Kaley Cuoco, Renee Bargh, and Julianne Moore, who would have clad her face in yellow too if allowed.
Those who wore aquamarine and various hues of blue: Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, Julianne Hough, Nicole Kidman, Maria Menounos, Jon Hamm's missus, Zooey Deschanel.
Those who couldn't choose between the two: Hayden Pannettiere.
The Bouffant: Ashley Judd.
The Botoxed to bits: Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi
The Busty: no surprises here.
The Dresses That Should Work, But Don't Quite: Lucy Liu, Tina Fey, Morena Baccarin (a bit like her acting career, really), and Jessica Pare.
The Worst Dressed: Toss up between Glenn Close, Gretchen Mol and Christine Baranski.
The Best Dressed: Kevork Djansezian. What can I say, I'm feeling a little dark today.
