Wrestling fans, you'll know this story - there was a time way back in the heady days of WCW and NWO, Hulk Hogan announced - on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno - that he was seriously considering running for President.

Of course, everyone - at that time - knew that it was merely a stunt as part of publicity for WCW and that there was no way professional wrestler Hulk Hogan would actually run for President, much less be elected by any major political party in the US. Well, fast forward to the latter end of 2017 and you've got Dwayne Johnson announcing on Ellen that he's giving serious consideration to running for President.

It's been sort of a running joke through his press tours of late to ask him if he's considering it, but consider for a moment the possibility of the US being under the control of a man who can successfully sell a Stone Cold Stunner. What's more, the current US President - Donald Trump - was also the recipient of one and sold it so unconvincingly that it became a meme.

Who do you want in the Oval Office, America? Some undercard jobber or the Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment?

Here's Johnson talking about his potential bid for 2020.
