Good job, Internet. Well done.
You all really pulled together and made this one happen. Nice work. Fair play. Pats on the back all round. Team effort, good hustle.
Daisy Ridley has decided to quit Instagram over - you guessed it - f*cking eejits leaving comments, specifically pro-gun trolls. Last Sunday at the Teen Choice Awards, a segment of the show was dedicated to ending gun violence in schools and prompted Ridley to comment on the topic on both Instagram and on her Facebook.
As Ridley explained it, as she "sat in the audience yesterday tears were streaming down my face at the tribute to those that have been lost to gun violence. I didn’t get a great picture of the incredible group that came onstage but they were so brave. It was a true moment of togetherness. We must ‪#stoptheviolence."
Pretty innocuous, you'd agree. After all, it's about people not shooting up schools. Can't really fault, can you?
Well, you can. If you're for guns. Most of the comments centred around telling Ridley to shut up and not have an opinion, others claimed she was a hypocrite because she used guns in The Force Awakens and, surprise surprise, a lot of comments saying she didn't know what she was talking about.
After the onslaught, Ridley deleted the Facebook post and then deleted her Instagram account entirely with no explanation.
Good job, gang. Way to go. Well done. Solid hustle all around.
