OK, well this may explain why she's been swinging out of Ed Sheeran late. Perhaps he's her own personal cupid... Rumour has it that he shacked her up with Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid.
The Cougar Town actress was accompanied to Jennifer Aniston's Christmas party on Sunday (she enjoys throwing parties) by the pianist/guitarist and onlookers at the bash say they were physically inseparable for the entire evening thanks to the hand holding.
One source told Life & Style magazine: "They arrived around 7pm and left together about three hours later. She drove and he sat in the passenger seat." He best get used to that.
Another source added: "Courteney definitely looked like she was on a date! They were holding hands during the party."
While it is unclear how the 49-year-old actress - who has nine-year-old daughter Coco with ex-husband David Arquette - and the 37-year-old musician met, they are both friends with Sheeran, so he ooooobviously set them up.
Ed took to Twitter recently to drum up support for Courteney to win a People's Choice Award for her role in Cougar Town.
If you've been spared possibly one of his more cringe-inducing tweets, here it is again: "My friend Courteney is nominated for a People's Choice Award for favourite cable TV actress. She's never won one before, and she lets me live in her beach house, so how's about we all vote for her and win her the ... thang eh? Safe." I mean, it's fine, a perfectly genial tweet - until the last bit.
