In case you hadn't heard, they're dating. And, unsurprisingly, it's now emerged that Chris Martin was attracted to Jennifer because she's the polar opposite of Gwyneth Paltrow.
The 37-year-old Coldplay frontman reportedly fell for the 24-year-old star's laid-back personality, and friends believe she's good for him following his failed marriage with clean-living Gwynnie, whom he split (yes, SPLIT) from in March.
A source told The Sun: "Jennifer is loads of fun and they can't stop laughing when they are together. Chris feels he is dating someone who has everything he's been missing out on in the past 11 years."
41-year-old Gwyneth is known for her healthy diet and strict fitness routine, while Jennifer smokes and enjoys tucking into pizza, and Chris feels she's given him a "new lease of life." Ironic, really, when you consider the smoking and the dough consumption.
The source added: "Jennifer doesn't take herself too seriously and when she is not filming she just wants to hang out and have a good time."
Jennifer and Chris first sparked rumours they were dating after they were spotted in deep conversation at the after-party for Coldplay's Royal Albert Hall gig in London on July 1st and they have reportedly spent the last six weeks texting each other.
Chris was determined to show how much Jennifer means to him by showering her with gifts for her birthday last Friday. We've no idea what they were, just that they were showered.
The couple's new romance comes just weeks after the Oscar-winning beauty called time on her relationship with Nicholas Hoult following three years of on-off-on dating.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth has also moved on and is dating Glee executive producer and co-creator Brad Falchuk.
