Rather than telling us all to go and shite for all the mean things we (the world) said about her weight during her pregnancy, Kim Kardashian chose to respond by posting that bum selfie, or belfie, or bum-elfie, whatever you want to call it.
Reminding us all that she's just a human being (a human being who looks pretty fan-bloody-tastic post birth, we might add), Kim reveals that the now famous selfie was her way of sticking her middle finger up at those who made her feel like shit (and a couch, and Mrs Doubtfire) while she had a bun in the oven.
While chatting with Jay Leno last night, Kim said: "I was trying on a bathing suit and I actually just sent that to my boyfriend and I was like, 'Babe, can I post this up?' This is like my big middle finger to the world on everyone that called me fat."
Kim went on to explain just how much it affected her.
“It really hurt my soul," she continued. "It changed how I am in public a little bit... There were these stories where I was, like, 200 pounds. I was gaining weight because I was pregnant and it was really hard to read all these stories and hear all these nasty things... I've tried to live a more private life because of that, because they were so nasty. Why even go out as much just to put yourself in that position?"
Well, Kimmy, whatever works for you; why not celebrate the wonder that is your own arse?
